Review: No love lost for ‘Valentine’s Day’

When John Carpenter decided to make a horror movie set at Halloween, he probably had some notion that it would goose up the story and provide a neat gimmick for the marketing guys. But it was his idea, not theirs. You couldn’t say the same for the next dozen movies in the series.
